It is imperative to ensure the provenance, quality and authenticity of all of the Thai Taste so that we consistently bring excellent products to the market. Thai Taste fully respects and appreciates the communities that enable them to do this, bringing to you the customer, a true representation of the finest regional products.

We believe that we hold a responsibility to give back to these communities in a meaningful way. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that we donate a percentage of all net sales to the Duang Prateep Foundation on an annual basis.

Translating to the "Flame of Hope" the charity dedicates itself to bringing education and optimism to the impoverished people in Thailand. Prateep Hata, the founder, has dedicated her life to helping others and has appropriately been nicknamed "The Angel of Slums". She has gained numerous awards for her efforts including the World’s Children’s Prize and the Global Friends’ Award in 2004 ''for her 35-year-long struggle for the rights of Thailand’s most vulnerable children''.

The foundation provides continual help and support to the people of both the inner city slums and the rural communities and is frequently announcing new project initiatives. One of these new projects involved the opening of a community computer centre to teach Thai people how to use basic programmes such as Word and Excel, which many people in the western world take for granted. We will work alongside the foundation on new initiatives such as this to give something back to the country that enables us to do so much.
